It’s subtle, but they let us know by using several tactics when the seed bowl is empty. I love this black-tie bird.

Thursday, March 27
My car got yellow speckles because of the yellow sand. I’ve read that the best way to remove them is to use water, so I splashed buckets instead of scraping them off. Lucky it was a warm day.

Friday, March 28
I got my car washed. Yesterday’s buckets were enough to clean the spots, but I decided it needed more treatment. I like car wash. It’s entertaining and meditative. But I don’t enjoy wiping off afterward.

Saturday, March 29
Either the quality of avocado has improved, or my selection skill has greatly improved. I bet on the latter.

Sunday, March 30
I went to an electronics store to buy batteries. It was morning, but the store was crowded with people carrying big boxes – fridge, microwave, rice cooker – appliances to start a new life.

Ah, the spring has come. It’s the season for a new beginning.
