Sunday, August 17
Today, I learned a new German phrase: Einkaufswagen parken.
Monday, August 18
I started looking for a place where I could practice and improve my Einkaufswagen parken skills.
Tuesday, August 19
I had a dentist appointment. At the cashier, I realized they only accepted cash. I told them I’d be right back and dashed to the ATM.
Wednesday, August 20
I called a support center, and the person who handled my query had an impressive voice. It was so clear that I first thought it was a recorded message. I told her that, and she said “thank you,” but I think I heard it as “I know.”
Thursday, August 21
I saw people eating soup curry on TV and it looked good, so I decided to cook it for dinner. I boiled and fried the vegetables separately. It took more time than standard curry, but it didn’t taste worth the effort.
Friday, August 22
I had some chores to do in the morning. I needed to go to five stores, but it was a pleasant drive because the music matched the summer morning vibe.
Saturday, August 23
Ice from Antarctica was displayed at the mall. I joined the small kids to touch it. It was a pure white, dense cube. The first word that came to my mind when I touched it was “whisky.” I left the corner immediately. I wish I could drink it without feeling sick afterwards.
