Week 12: rainy days, insomnia, switch it up like nintendo

a pair of pigeons

Sunday, June 8
The pair of pigeons are busy making their nest. I can see the whole process from the living room. Despite their effort, the nest looks super dodgy. I gathered some tiny branches they may be able to use for their house.

Nintendo switch and a cheese dog

Monday, June 9
My brother lent me his Switch after I told him I was interested in it. My 3-year-old nephew showed me how to release the controllers, but I’m not sure how long it will take before I actually play. There are too many buttons. I’m currently reading the “How to sync controllers” page.

rain on a car window

Tuesday, June 10
It’s raining. We are officially in the rainy season. When I open the window, I smell chestnut flowers in the neighborhood.

wakakusa bento

Wednesday, June 11
A busy day. I watched a gameplay commentary of “Exit 8” during my break. A brilliant idea for a low-budget game, indeed.

icecream menu at 31

Thursday, June 12
I found a broken egg on the ground. The pigeons were looking at me, and I was looking at them. We stared at each other for a while.

a candle in a candle holder cup

Friday, June 13
It felt like my hair volume got doubled because of the humidity. I went to the hair salon to fix this, and after one hour and a good laugh, I felt so much lighter.

rainy night view

Saturday, June 14
A beacon of light in the dark sky. I’m not sure if it leads to hope or to another agony. Probably both. I can turn back now. It’s not too late. I can turn back and forget what I saw. But I know I won’t. I know it’s too late.

This week’s track
Radiohead – Pyramid Song
