Letter #26: A life with birds

2 pigeons hidden in the leaves

Sunday, April 27
A pair of pigeons has been flying around wildly in the garden lately. The bigger one wants to get intimate, but the other one doesn’t. I think I’ll intervene if their fight becomes more aggressive.

Many of the music videos from the 90s are now available on YouTube. It’s interesting to see the full version because what I saw back then were mostly 15-second versions for promotion and rankings. And I must say that many of them seemed to focus solely on these 15 seconds.

My bird, Goma, flew back to the sky this winter. I told my 3-year-old nephew, and he took this Japanese euphemistic expression literally. He believes Goma is flying somewhere and eventually comes back.

The coffee tree is still not doing great. I bought two trees and gave one to my brother, and he told me his tree is growing lively. I wonder if he can take care of mine until it gets better.

Heavy rain. There was a phone call from someone, but when I picked up the phone, it was just a noise. It seems like our landline went wrong because of the rain.

It was a breezy, sunny, beautiful day. I had ice cream in the garden with my nephew. He asked me when Goma would be back. I know I have to explain to him at some point, but today is not that day.
